p365: february 24

february 24: phonathon night 3!!! last call night of the week!...well kind of. we're calling sunday too. decided to break up the routine tonight and had "dance break" for my callers. pretty much took the idea from 30 rock, but hey, they liked it.

got dinner from zaxby's, which is my go to place for late night salads, but get this, they don't make the zensations salad anymore!!!   blasphemy! i know! i guess i can manage...

half day at work and best friend time tomorrow! yaaay!!!!

p365: february 23

phonathon night 2! again...pretty smooth, feeling a little tired though. my body's still not adjusted to the new schedule.

jerry yang was in town!!!! went to the claddagh after phonathon to see him before he headed back across the big pond to london.

it was fun to see him again! it really made me miss college and all of the fun/crazy times i used to have with these people. :(

february 22: first night of phonathon. it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, but there were still a few technical difficulties.

i'm lame and took yet another picture of olive. she likes to play in the bathtub.

february 21: monday monday. phonathon started tonight...well kind of. training was tonight. calling starts tomorrow. got to have lunch with ali because she was in town for the weekend! it was good to catch up with her and a lot of people over the weekend. training went well. i think this semester of calling is going to go well.

i'm lame and took another picture of olive. she captured her prey. haha.

february 20: sunday. church. simon was in town for the weekend so got lunch with him. it was good to catch up. i haven't seen him in forever! did some errands and got to clean my room and do some chores around the house. then passed out for a nap. doesn't sound too exciting, but that's a typical sunday for me. except now phonathon's starting, so my sunday's won't be as relaxing...at least till mid april.

this is the princess on her throne. really though. if you put anything on this chair, olive will knock it off. you don't mess with her.

february 19: saturday! much better day than friday. kelly came to check on me and we went to get lunch at sheetz. sounds crazy i know...but it's so good and so cheap! after that had a hair cut appointment. then came back and finished my crafts and headed to campus for revelation. got three wonderful additions to the legit fam! seriously. i love them. went to qudoba for dinner and then met up with some people at liberty. it was a good day.

p365: february 18

february 18: friday, but it was such a crappy friday. took my car into the shop in the morning because i thought i needed a simple brake fix. but i was wrong...so wrong. it ended up being about $575 in repairs. talk about damage to my bank account. ouch. got to have dinner with mary, balls, mcgee, and catie, which was nice. but then i came home and checked my mail...and there was no good news there. i received a very disappointing letter. i will blog more about that later. i was feeling down, but then went over to bruce and becky's to hang out, which was nice.

i blame this whole funky and strange week on the full moon. stupid moon. also i wish i had a tripod so that this picture would be more clear and not blurry.

february 17: got to have lunch with kelly which is always nice. it makes the work days a little more bearable.  after work went to hobby lobby to grab some things to make mirrors for revelation on saturday. went to small group for the last time. :( phonathon starts on tuesday, so i won't be able to go until mid-april. overall a pretty good day!

february 16: was in a strange mood today. i'm blaming it on the almost full moon. with that said, the actual full moon is friday. fun random fact for the day.

february 15: long day at work. getting things together for phonathon. after work hung out with mcgee until the phi meeting at 7. came home after the meeting and cooked dinner, which was pretty awesome! i'm shaping up to be a pretty good cook. :)

february 14: valentine's day. blech. work was normal. after work went to the gym and then treated myself to a manicure. nothing exciting.

february 13: well. sunday started off as a good day and ended badly...at least for me.

church was great. after church went to target and got lunch with amy at sheetz. then took a looong but much needed nap.

then my mom called me to tell me that my cat, mittens, died. my cat that i've had since second grade. my cat that has been such a constant in my life is now gone. go ahead and tell me that i'm ridiculous and over reacting because it's a cat, but she was a member of my family. so needless to say, i was really upset.  i went to dinner with kerri and then watched the grammy's with amy. but i was still depressed for the night.

becky wanted some shots of her hands to show off her tattoos. i love shooting water, i think it adds a really awesome element to pictures.

february 12: went on a photo adventure with bruce and becky! really it was just around their house, but it was still a lot of fun. i think i got some really good shots of them as well as practice. i'm also a lot more comfortable with my camera now. i'm starting to really grasp and understand photography a lot more. i need to get out and mess around more often!

after our photo shoot we went for lunch at this indian place. i've never had indian food before and i have to say that i really enjoyed it. the spices in it appeal to a whole other palate. it was delicious. helped out at the opera on campus, then hung out with amy for the rest of the night. it was a good day.

p365: february 11

february 11: oooh friday nights, how you used to be fun and exciting. jen was gone for the weekend, so i was home by myself. i made some of that salsa that bruce and becky gave me, then i settled down to watch a movie. what did i choose? free willy and the fox animated version of anastasia. my lameness is starting to disturb me. i need to be more exciting.

this is olive....again. i thought this picture was really cool because just as i was about to take it she darted out from under the bed. you can see the motion. i liked it at least...

february 10: so thursday was forever ago, but i still took a picture every day, i just didn't have a chance to upload. after work i went to small group. this thursday's going to be my last time going since phonathon starts next week. :(

after small group though bruce and becky gave me some of this salsa that they made. it was DELICIOUS!!!

february 9: work. gym. dinner with balls. nothing too exciting, until i got home from dinner and saw the mail on the counter. so here's the funny story and why this envelope is my picture for today.

i've been having a lot of anxiety about grad school lately. A LOT. i walked into my house and saw the mail on the counter. i wasn't really paying attention but then i saw the corner of a big white envelope and i'm pretty sure my heart stopped beating for a good 10-15 seconds. i immediately dropped everything i was carrying and grabbed the envelope only to realize that it was a mailing from hpu. a mailing that I WORKED ON AND SENT OUT!!!! after my heart stopped beating it instantly fell to the floor and i felt stupid. i was also annoyed that it wasn't a letter from another university, but was yet another mailing from HPU. tragic. i know. this is my life people. this is my life...

p365: february 8

february 8: work day was sloooow. i also had this nagging headache that i couldn't shake. it was extremely annoying. had my weekly lunch date with kelly. they always make me smile. still wasn't feeling well at the end of the day, but it felt like a wine kind of night, so i stopped at teeter and picked up a bottle at liz's recommendation. it was very tasty. however, i may or may not have cracked my kitchen blinds a little bit because when i popped the cork it flew and hit them. oops. had a phone date with emily and then watched the book of eli. it was a nice relaxing night.

side note: i really like this picture because you can see the bubbles in my glass. it was sparkling wine. i also burned the glass more to bring out the bubbles. fun stuff.

february 7: oh monday. the work day actually went pretty quickly and since the night of small group changed, i had a free night. got to actually spend some time cooking, which i always enjoy, then headed to the gym for a little. i had every intention of starting band of brothers tonight, but i got distracted then had a phone date with alicia. phone dates with long distance friends trump everything. even band of brothers. :)

p365: february 6

february 6: superbowl sunday!!! went over to bruce and becky's to watch the game with some fun people. i made buffalo chicken dip and pizza crescent rolls. becky made chicken chili and other people brought dips and cookies and desserts. it was wonderful. the game was kind of boring and the half time show sucked, but it was still fun. there were some great commercials and there's going to be a pirates of the caribbean 4! woo hoo!!!

february 5: wasted most of the day by laying around doing nothing. but i figured it was okay since i got like zero sleep the night before. was supposed to go to winter jam with bruce, becky, and colleen. got there, paid, went in...and then couldn't find a seat. seriously. it was SO over-whelming. there were sooo many people. it was ridiculous, so we left, went to red mango, and then watched despicable me. so it ended up being a good night. i also got a valentine's present from my mom...bare minerals eye shadow! yay!

p365: february 4

february 4: well. since i only got three hours of sleep the previous night, friday was a struggle. i don't know how i did it, but i made it through the day with only one cup of coffee. however i came home and totally crashed. ordered chinese food with jen and hung out for a little. then finished season 4 of 30 rock. i was lame and went to bed at 10 pm. sorry not sorry.

p365: february 3

feburary 3: after work did some errands and met up with amy for dinner at barbaritos, which is always good. went to the last night of speed dating for phi mu big/little. after that began the process of matching. it was long. it was painful. but i think we did a great job. i didn't get home till 3 am and had to work the next day. i think it was worth it though.

p365: february 2

february 2: good day at work today. it was busy, which is always the best because time goes so much faster. i even had a lunch date with kelly, which was fun. after work i went to zumba!

came home, made dinner, and then watched the rest of season 4 of 30 rock. you can tell when my nights are boring, because i take a picture of olive.

p365: february 1

february 1: it's february!!!! which is exciting and scary at the same time. it's exciting because it means that warmer weather is near. it's scary because it means that time is flying by and i don't know what i'm doing with my life!

today was a sad day. an hpu student passed away this morning. it's always sad when this happens. life is so short, and she was so young. however, it's amazing to see how in a time of need, the university and the greek community come together to support one another. it truly makes me proud to not only be greek, but to also be an alum of high point university.

after work i had some phi mu meetings and stuff to take care of, but when that was over i came home to relax and hang out with olive. i made dinner and watched iron man 2. after that i came upstairs and wanted to relax, so i colored a picture of cinderella. for my birthday my mom sent me a twist-able colored pencils, a box of 96 crayola crayons and, a disney princess coloring packet. i know that i'm 23 years old, but honestly, you're never too old to enjoy coloring, plus i find it to be extremely relaxing.

i really like this photo. at first i was playing around with the color effects, but i found that i liked it in black and white a whole lot more. simple and to the point.
